During this walking tour we’re going to discover the old part of the capital, the Buda Castle Area on the top of the Castle Hill, which has been the ’cradle’ of Budapest. The whole area is a Unesco World Heritage site with beautiful 500-600 years old apartment houses which are still in use. Let’s have a look into the real life of the historical part of the capital!
After visiting the Matthias Church and Fisherman’s Bastion we walk through the palace district to find the funicular cable car. Getting down to the river Danube again and after having a look into the famous and beautifully decorated art nouveau Gellert Thermal Bath we walk through the green Liberty Bridge.
The tour ends at the Central Market Hall (greatest offer of typical Hungarian foodstuff) on the Pest side where we can find also the beginning of the Váci pedestrian street.
