In this tour I invite you for a nice walk in Castle District in Buda, in the ancient royal residential area.Today it is a highly protected place by UNESCO which belongs to the World Heritage.
Here, you will see, among others, the Fishermen's Bastion, Matthias church, The Holy Trinity square, the Funicular, the Royal Palace (the inside main hall), and lots of charming little streets with cafés and restaurants. This area is so rich in history and culture that every stone can "tell" you a story.
In the afternoon I offer you an optional tour to Gödöllő to visit the Grassalkovich (Sissy) Palace, which served the Royal Couple
/Franz Joseph and Sissy/ between 1867-1898. The palace today is a commemorative museum.
In this tour you are driven to Gödöllő town (without guide) and you can discover the whole palace with the help of local guides or by using headphones. After the visit you are driven back to Budapest. This program takes 4 hours. The price of the transportation (car) and the entrance tickets are not included in the price of this tour.
