Interested in speleology? Go for a Budapest Caving Adventure!
Under the Hungarian capital Budapest, hot springs have created a 100 km /60 miles long cave system. You can discover these caves on paved underground pathes, too, but you can go wild, caving with a torch-lamp on your head, it's your choice.
Short panoramic drive from your hotel to the caves followed by an approx. 3-hour guided cave tour under the Budapest hills.
You get your gears, show your ID card and sign the responsibility paper. Then go and discover with an English speaking cave guide all that is underneath the Buda hills and residential districts! The caving itself takes about 2, 5 hours.
Previous experience of caving is not needed, because the cave guide accomodates the difficulty of the caving to your level. However, it is about crawling and climbing in narrow places. Full gear is provided: overall, helmet, headlamp, except for shoes, so wear appropriate boots or hiking shoes. You enter the caves on your own responsibility! Age limits: 8-55 years, your ID is checked before the tour.
Give us your dates before booking for checking cave availability.
For more than 4 people ask for a quote!
Included: Pick up at your hotel, transfer to the caves with commentaries in English, French, German or Hungarian. Transfer back to your preferred destination in Budapest after caving.
Cave entrance tickets for max 4 people are also included, with English speaking cave guide, and equipment: overall, helmet, headlamp for all participants. No shoes are given, so wear appropriate boots or hiking shoes!
